STRam - 1064
Metrohm

The prizewinning STRam® offers rapid material identification through a multitude of barrier layers and packaging which previously could not be penetrated with Raman. The STRam-1064 combines our high-throughput spectrometer, special sampling optics, and advanced algorithms in a transportable Raman system using our patented STRaman® technology. The STRam-1064 can collect Raman signals which are generated under scattering cover layers in order to identify material within even visually opaque barriers, e.g. plastic bottles, paper envelopes, kraft paper, fiber bags, and tablet coatings with minimal fluorescence. This means it is no longer necessary to open containers and touch the material, allowing the integrity of the packaging and of the sample itself to remain intact while at the same time enabling rapid incoming goods inspection of the material. The system design features a large sampling area and depth and minimized power density, making it easier to measure samples that can be challenging for conventional, focused Raman spectroscopy.

TacticID 1064 Handheld Raman Spectrometer
Metrohm

The TacticID®-1064 is a field-ready, handheld Raman Spectrometer designed for fast and accurate non-contact screening by security staff and emergency services (e.g. law enforcement personnel, customs and border guards, as well as bomb disposal squads). The TacticID-1064 utilizes proven Raman spectroscopy, allowing users to obtain real-time identification of a wide variety of unknown chemicals, narcotics, pharmaceutical drugs, explosives, and other substances in less than one minute. Accordingly, operational uncertainty and response time are significantly reduced. By utilizing the 1064 nm wavelength, the TacticID-1064 avoids fluorescence, allowing users to even work with difficult street samples.

TacticID N Plus Handheld Raman Spectrometer
Metrohm

The TacticID®–N Plus is a field-ready handheld Raman Spectrometer specifically designed for non-contact forensic analysis of narcotics, pharmaceutical drugs, cutting agents, and their precursors by law enforcement personnel.
Featuring an intuitive workflow and touch screen, samples can be nondestructively analyzed through opaque and transparent packaging. The sample threat level is displayed prominently to the users, e.g. security staff, emergency services (such as law enforcement authorities), customs and border guards as well as bomb disposal squads, and hazmat teams, allowing them to act quickly with minimal sample contact. The TacticID-N Plus utilizes laboratory-proven Raman spectroscopy, which allows users to obtain identification of illicit substances in real time without ever compromising the integrity of the sample or the chain of evidence.
The TacticID-N Plus comes with a comprehensive library of over 1000 substances as standard. Additionally, users have access to regular library updates in order to continuously maintain up-to-date identification capabilities and stay ahead of emerging narcotics.
